Life goes (quickly) on

June has been by far the busiest month possible. Workwise especially, everything happened then, all meetings, all trips, before everybody going on holiday.
Everybody but me. There are no things planned for this summer for various reasons. Money and lack of holiday days as always, but if you really insist, you can make both money and time available. But then, we are waiting to have our roof done, and have no clue when this will happen - anytime between now (well, August) and the winter. And more, why would I take holiday when things are calm and half of the office gone? No, I take holiday when things are in their busiest, and everybody will envy me for that.

Plus, why take holiday when you can go to work in half an hour instead of one hour? Everybody takes holidays within the school holidays. Then it's busy, crowded, loud, expensive and dirty anywhere you go. That's what happens if you have kids. Worse than that is when evrybody around you is talking about (or even having) kids. One of our managers has just had her third one weekend ago - so cards to sign, photos going around, and the like. She's an example to us all. If you want to joke again about me, then I promise to tell you when I'm a manager. Don't hold your breath, probably the answer will be the same :-)

Talking serious stuff, I am proud to anounce that our second bedroom upstairs is almost finished. We just need to place the carpet and move all the crap (sorry, stuff) from downstairs upstairs. It took a lot of painting, I can tell you. I HATE painting the ceiling!!!!!! I am by far not as creative as this:

Special dedication to all my smoky friends...
